I know, I'm actually an IT specialist and I am fully aware of the level of security provided by google. That's is not really my problem. My problem is that when I lose my connection I also lose the access to most of my data. What I would like to see would be an app(or apps) provided by Google that would allow me to have my own local copy of all the data stored by Google for me. I found the video interesting and as a teacher who is using a "whole brain teaching" approach, I totally agree that it is the behavior we have to look at. I have had much better behavior, focused attention and I think the use of as many senses as possible targets all the different learning styles. The reason the woman ran a longer distance and felt less tired is simply because she was distracted during her run (with talking). Perhaps she's attracted to the man she's running with...there are a multitude of reasons why that particular jog coudl've been better. Thank you. It is not a game. However gaming theory has quite a bit of learning theory embedded. When 14 kids from around the world jump onto a multi-player online game like Call of Duty and one takes on a leadership role and demonstrates leadership and teaming skills, he is learning. You make a very valid argument. I must ask you. What do you do with children in secondary schools or high schools? I assume this video is geared towards elementary. The United States has thousands of charter schools or "radical public schools" as I like to call them. They are free and open to the public, but operate independently. They are becoming more popular than traditional public schools. Many of them require students to wear uniforms, have extended school hours, etc.

The video is good and raises some interesting points; however, the person who posted it has not considered that some people simply cannot afford private schooling. Also if one generation of parents wants to send their kids to say a military school and they are all full, what will happen? They will have to send them to a school that is not up to their 'standards'. I also think that in the UK parents have plenty of opportunity to comment and influence the State education system, if they want too.

Video raises a question at 2:23 - "How likely is it to be taught to always question the government?" And then we get no answer. Just lazy inference. Then that style of inference carries on throughout with little or nothing to back it up. There may be some good ideas in this video, but it's difficult to extract them from the same style of propogandist text the presenter appears to revile. Yeah, I agree. I've known what I wanted and been capable of making decisions and taking care of myself since I was 13 or so. I really cringe when I hear people are for legalizing stuff but then they say you should have to be 18 or something. I'm thinking damn, there's a lot of stupid "adults" out there too. Well the only scale we should go by is the physical development and mental capabilities. Yet, even those should not be used to bar individuals from many things as people do now. Also, usually when I say "children" I mean individuals under the age of around 12 (it is impossibly to pick a definite age) teenagers have the ability to care for themselves, our current society is what stifles this ability.

@zoticus1 Tantrums are just one way a child reacts to someone bothering them, a need not met. This is usually caused because they do not have the knowledge on how to handle the situation, or more likely, the parent is being unrealistic in the name of mainstream parenting. Usually tantrums are caused by the parent unable to fulfill their child's needs.

@zoticus1 Actually instead of throwing insults why not go do some research on the psychology you seem to think you know. Buy a gun? There should be a psychological examination to determine if one can buy a gun, if they pass then they can buy one, age doesn't matter (though most children would fail thereby dismantling your straw-man) Same with driving, a test anyone can take, if they pass they get their license. Most kids would fail, if they didn't they can drive.
