now that im thinking about it say you have a car thats painted black front to back. you wanted to do the water drop effect to it in areas not the whole car.if you were to mist over a small section of the car wouldnt that area now have a haze to it after you clear coat over it the second accenting color would be all over the area were teh drops are so it would look uneven dont know if you know what I mean.

Thanks for the quick response man you are great! Is a mid coat clear something that is usualy availible at auto-paint specialty stores? Mike ia Awesome. If you use a catalyzed clear then you have to let it set and dry. Then scuff it and then start painting again. If you use a mid coat clear you can let it dry and then spray right back on it with in 5 to 10 minutes.

Yes there are reasons why. Kustom Shop sells a great product.But I want to do my own thing and now is the time to do it. I have always used House Of Kolor for over 30 years so it is familiar to me and I have always liked it. Also I want to use water based paints. And Dave from coastairbrush(dot)com has helped me a lot in that respect. Bottom line is I don't want to be controlled by any one and there is more that I want to give back to this industry. And by being just Ed Hubbs I can do that.

@2j4l6h8j a candy color is also known as a transparent color it only shows up in light area's witch is why people use candy colors on black so they don't have to worry about it as much in the case that the candy does show up on black than its either not a true candy color or you have white over spray if you don't whipe down the over spray from the airbrushing when you clear the project it acts like a mop and will create a dull spor witch is bad

I am amazed. It appears that the little green men are as dumb as a loony landing conspiracy theorist (LLCT). They have tried to hide a base on the far side knowing full well that we have telescopes and yet they have completely overlooked the fact that earth critters can build flying machines too. The only point I'm making is that blur is a very obvious way to hide something in a photo. Check out some examples of photo retouching and airbrushing from the Soviet Union - even back in the '30s, they were quite good at filling in background where the object used to be, so that you'd never know there was anything there to begin with. Whatever the reason for the blurred spaces on these NASA photos, I feel pretty confident saying that it wasn't an attempt to hide an object.

1) If you smudge out a shadow (or anything, really), the detail gets lost but not the color and luminosity values. There should still be a dark patch in the photo, and there isn't. 2) Blur and smudges are an unspeakably amateurish way to hide anything in a photo. Any government worth its salt would have either airbrushed the stuff out or pasted something over it instead of using blur.
