yesterday the series began in Germany and I´m addicted to it! Gabriel Byrne ist absolutely perfect for the part of the therapist. Unfortunately the german synchronization isn´t nearly as good as the original, but there is still the english dvd ; )

@yugioholsson thank you so much. i really love this series, its very dramatic and realistic. the actor gabe is just fantasitc for this role. he has that sense of calmness with that charming smile and those honest blue eyes. i couldent think of a better actor with a better voice.

This show is incredible. All of the actors nail the roles they're playing and you can't stop watching. Gabriel Byrne does an amazing job portraying a therapist and planning on eventually becoming a counseling psychologist myself, it makes this show all the more enjoyable. Five stars. Keep 'em coming, HBO!! : )

I just saw Defiance and Mia plays a Russian Jew (Chaya) taking refuge in the forest from the Nazis during WWII. Despite the hardships of war and little makeup, she looks very pretty. Mia gives an excellent performance displaying her character's vulnerability and inner strength. She should have a very successful career.

Totally agree. As an Irish person I was delighted Gabriel Byrne won an Emmy, and it is the best he has ever been but Melissa George is outstanding. She is a star in the making, a Naomi, a Meryl, that's the kind of quality she displays here in a portrayal of depth, intensity and menace. I can't say enough about how good she is. Australia does it again!

He does nail the issue - "someone has broken the rules", and I'd agree that Sophie meeting Paul's wife did help with another test. One question for me is, would the therapist be passing, or failing, a test if he had not provided (his daughter's!) clean clothes? By doing so, the therapist already exceeds his professional role and thus blurs a boundary. However, arguably, if he had not done so he may have failed a test. That's one thing that makes these tests so hard: at times, the therapist fails by holding too strictly to professional boundaries, and at other times, the therapist fails by violating them.

What the patent pool does is it works like a music licensing ageny for all the artistes - only the smallest ones benefit from it. And what is fair pricing anyway? Clapittyclapclap, you are horribly mistaken when you say it rewards innovation. In what way does it do that? Lower the amount of remuneration generated? Do not forget that pharmaceutical companies are not charity organisations!

No misunderstandings. You need a patent pool because the manufacturer CANNOT do the same things direct. They can't develop the new drugs without the cooperation the patent pool allows. We can't get the prices down without the competition the pool generates. It rewards innovation and spreads the power to produce life savin- drugs amongst many. This video glistens with misunderstanding of patents. Why do you need a patent pool when you can just do the exact same thing direct from the manufacturer? It sounds like someone wants more control and are not willing to pay out the inventors of the drugs. Without the inventors making money, there is no reason to make more drugs. Sure, they are overpriced, but thats where better regulation comes in. Patent pools just adds another level of obfuscation to the problem, it doesn't solve it.

Sorry firpeace/Antidog - nowt naive about this idea. 75% of people on HIV treatment are using generic drugs made in the developing world - nothing shady about them. Generic competition's been the most important factor behind lower prices - essential new drugs are still only available at the big prices big pharma charge - we need the pool to create that competition for new drugs. It'll promote innovation in a way that the current system never will. It's supported many including the UK govt.

More effective a solution would be if a fair pricing act is determined by a consortium of pharmaceutical companies and international organizations. The pharmaceutical companies keep selling the drugs, but at a more equitable price that is related to the country's cost of living. Big pharmaceutical companies are not pro bono organizations. If you take the dough away, they will not sell anymore.

Sounds a little naive to me as well. I have seen some of these local developing countries drug manufacturers, and they are shady at best. The drugs they produce are far inferior to the originals from the patent holders. This idea will only have the effect of deterring big pharmaceutical companies from developing new drugs aimed at developing countries in future.

The idea is naive as are the other comments on the video. It's a tragedy for children to be born with HIV, but HIV transmission is perfectly preventable. New drugs are expensive due to high cost of development and high risk of failure. Patents protect the innovator but also force complete disclosure of the drug which leads others to avenues of possible competition. Two good drugs, each patented, may compete with each other. How do you know the czar of patent pool will be "honorable"?

The film is very different from RH, but when you think of it as a different concept, it makes a lot of sense for today. I think if it was released in theatres now it would do much better. Yes it was ahead of it's time but it should have NOT had anything to with Rocky Horror. The music sounded flat to me. Rocky Horror was on stage for years before it was made into a movie. S.T. seemed to be a rushed effort. I think Barry Humphries should been in drag for his character for this to become more of a camp classic. I hated the lack of camp compared to rocky horror. I was at the Boston premiere and people booed at the end. The movie lasted one week at the sack 57 theater in Boston.

As a old time fan of RHPS I was a bit disappointed when I saw this 'sequel' when it hit the theaters. I think many were.We expected the same cast ,same type of songs and the excitement of RHPS but all new! The science is there as are the statistics about driving, substance abuse, job loss, relationship problems... but he is NOT saying ALL ADHD sufferers live with ALL the effects... like poor driving. Promoting/enforcing safe driving in teens is good but I think singling out ADHD people is a bit discriminatory. Statistically people with ADHD tend towards unsafe driving habits but I would need to see some very substantial evidence of a strong correlation between the physiological effects of ADHD on an individual as it applies to driving before I believed that the statistics were anything but a result of freely made, lucid, bad decisions which are theres to make and not other ADHDers to bear

I'm a teacher, and I think the reason some people don't believe it's real is that so many kids are misdiagnosed & placed on meds just because they are misbehaving in school. Unfortunately I see a number of parents who don't really want to deal w/ their kids behavior & teach them how to behave, and then when they are disruptive in school, they find someone to diagnose ADHD & medicate their child so they still don't have to deal w/ it. When someone has real ADHD it's definitely different.

If it was not real then it would not be treatable. You can't treat something which does not exist. If ADHD was purely imaginative and not actually a brain disorder then double-blind treatment tests would simply fail. They don't. They absolutely work and stimulants such as Ritalin completely and utterly improve every aspect of the disorder. It's an abnormal lack of dopamine, under-developed executive functions and over-developed motor-fuctions. It's like a car with no brakes.

I have ADHD, I am currently waiting for treatment and meds. It is absolutely real and absolutely detrimental to a social and progressive life. ADHD has more genetic proof and basis than Autism and bi-polar. The only reason people don't mock or refuse to believe Autism is because the symptoms are so apparent and abnormal (in some cases). from personal experience I've found that when given the oppurtunity to satisfy my curiousities in schooling and so on, I NATURALLY learn all the things they wanted me to learn and more it's when people try to force me to learn in a pattern they set up that things don't go well for me, I'm simply not interested, never taken medication and I'm fine without it, and doing fine, use your imagination instead of relying on others, and figure out a way to get your situation going well

Thanks for all the info that you put out. Its very helpful. Just an FYI, we have used the rapper for the chest seal under fire and just taped the hell out of it, and it has worked better and healed better then the chest seal has... Its a lil faster and sticks a lil better...

Tacmed, thanks for putting out some excellent training materials and gear. Can I suggest that you emphasize progressive dyspnea as a primary sx of a developing tension pneumo? I've repeatedly seen is as a much earlier indicator then JVD, changes in chest rise and such.
