Have always enjoyed this guy's voice, and the work of the band members from Bush to Institute, and also Gavin's solo work.. but I always find myself wondering just what they could accomplish with improved music writing. Don't get me wrong, by now I always am able to connect with the song and understand the message for each given track, but thought-provoking and deep tracks are more than just stringing together "joyful noises." I just think (lyric-wise), it could be better.

Yes, but that's not the only paper that suggests there have been a mild GW during medieval times. If you look even at wikipedia (and check out the sources they provide), there is a graph of comparions of T obtained from several different research papers. Science never "proves" anything, its not how it works. Evidence suggests however that humans are. After all the warming rate over the last 50 years (the beginning of the industrial revolution) doubled when compared to the 50 years before that. And this is over a greater time scale than the solar irradiance cycle (~11 year cycle) so it sure is a massive coincidence if we arent. As for your medieval graphs, I already told you that paper was rejected by the SC due to bad data collection.

It is yet to be proven that it is US HUMANS who are 'unsetting' this balance and it's not just another natural cycle that happens to coinside with our activities (seeing how CO2 does have a lag of a few hundred years behind the warming periods, take note of Medieval GW). The way CO2 and temp are related is the opposite of what he said. It's the rise in temperature that drives higher levels of CO2 into the atosphere. And there is a time lag of about 500 years. There are theories of how it could happen, one of them states that it's similar to the carbonated soda. Cold temp allows the pop to retain CO2 better, that's why we stick it in the firdge. Same goes for Earth, once it starts to warm up, oceans start to release more CO2, but the release is gradual.

Sorry, let me reword what I said. I mean that they believe in micro-evolution but they do not believe that macro-evolution occurred. I know that ID is considered to be a form of creationism because of the court ruling. But I don't think that the court ruling stopped the debate. The gold standard was ended because it was unsustainable in the Great Depression (it did enough harm). There is nothing wrong with floating exchange rates, but for what its work Keynes advocated keeping a reserve of gold by governments to stabilize exchange rates if needed. Most keynsians i know detest private citizen's and generally view them as incompetent to do what is in the best interests of society. Since they fear that private citizens will not spend, rather, save, the money that the government gives back to them. Keynsians prefer the government just increasing spending without any tax cuts, except on the poorest citizens, ones they know will be forced to spend that money.

I am not only a young libertarian hispanic brother - even more of a rarity - is the fact that I am a young hispanic libertarian who lives in the metropolitan area, north jersey/new york city. Democrats think they are libertarian. Their arguments are ridiculous. They seem to view the government as this righteous altruistic body that will do right by them if only they were further empowered. I guess they don't have the experience and wisdom that latin immigrants have.

Did I say I was anti-military? When did I say that? Do you comprehend the difference between the military and the Military Industrial Complex? Those who sign up for the military are doing honorable national service. What's dishonorable is using the military for profit, vendettas, egomania, paranoid delusions, religious warfare, etc. etc.. I said Iraq was blowback for 9/11 because the lying Bush administration was able to use it to coerce the nation to invade Iraq and cause the biggest debacle of the last decade. You and your anti-military ilk are the "defend the rapist" type of people, the extreme opposite of the imperialist neocons. The Iraq war was a mistake, but to suggest that the U.S. should have done nothing in response to 9/11 is incredibly ridiculous, in fact I recall near unanimous support for the invasion of Afghanistan back in 2001. There is a difference between appeasement and non-interventionism.
